Welcome to the hub of AOD at Yale!

In case you were wondering, AODHRI stands for the Alcohol and Other Drugs Harm Reduction Initiative (pronounced as “Audrey”).

Here you’ll find information about alcohol and other drugs, the culture surrounding them, and the institutional policies and programs that Yale has put in place to minimize their harms and encourage a positive culture. You’ll also find contact information in case you have questions that aren’t answered elsewhere in the site.

If you’re a current student, you may be interested in some useful information on drinking laws, drinking strategies, Yale’s Medical Emergency Policy, and alcohol facts. Incoming first-years and prospective students may find the sections on Yale’s alcohol culture illuminating. For parents and alumni, Yale’s online alcohol education program might catch your eye - it’s a few large steps removed from traditional programs.

Whatever your interest, if it’s on this site, you’ll find what you’re looking for in the navigation bar at the top of the page. And if it’s not, feel free to contact us with further inquiries.

Cheers,
